A video recorded in front of the Town of Tonawanda Police Department captured a dangerous moment on Monday when a car operated by an elderly driver in their 80's suddenly shot across six lanes of moving traffic on Sheridan Drive.
No was injured but the driver was given three traffic tickets and ordered to undergo a NYS Department of Motor Vehicle drivers license review.
It is also raising questions about whether older drivers are more dangerous.
7 Eyewitness News reporter Ed Reilly spent the day talking with experts about the issue. Ed also interviewed a Wheatfield man who narrowly missed being hit by the out-of-control car.
