ELMA, N.Y. (WKBW) - A pistol permit satellite office will be coming to the Town of Elma, making it the first one since the Cheektowaga location closed last August due to staffing issues.
In a release, Erie County Clerk Mickey Kearns, and Town Supervisor Dennis Powers tell Eyewitness News the office will be open weekly on Fridays in the Elma Town Hall.
This office will process specific transactions including adding or removing a gun, change of address and help with general pistol permit questions. Fees will be payable by credit card only, according to the release.
The office in Elma will begin serving customers in early February.
