The Buffalo Sabres handed out free game tickets Wednesday morning for the more than 2,200 turkeys donated.
The team partnered with Tops and Entercom to hold a Thanksgiving turkey drive from 6-9 a.m. and collected more than two thousand 20-pound birds for the City Mission and Food Bank of Western New York.
For every 20-pound turkey dropped off, the Sabres gave away two tickets to an upcoming home game.
