The victims in a head-on crash that closed Rt. 33 in Alden between Town Line and Zoeller have been identified.
The drivers of both vehicles, 59-year-old Donna Burkhart of Clarence and 23-year-old Ashley Hightower of Akron, were taken to ECMC where they are both listed in critical condition.

The sheriff's office says Burkhart suffered a severe lower leg injury and was flown to the hospital. Hightower's injuries are unknown at this time.
The crash closed the roadway for around three and a half hours. It remains under investigation.
