Rochester officer in stable condition after being shot in the face

UPDATE: Chief Ciminelli, of the Rochester Police Department, said they are investigating the possibility of whether or not Officer Nash was targeted in this attack. He also revealed Nash was responding to another call during that time. 

WHAM 13 tells us Rochester police officer, Jeremy Nash, is in stable condition after being shot in the face around 10:45 PM Saturday night.

Police say Nash received non-life threatening injuries and was awake and alert when taken to Rochester General Hospital following the incident. 

The shooting was in the area of Clifford and Hudson Avenue.

Police warned people in the area to stay inside during the investigation. 

After learning of the incident, Mayor Lovely Warren and the Deputy Mayor arrived at the hospital. 

Authorities say there are no suspects in custody at this time.
