Governor Cuomo announced on Friday the suspension of all road and bridge construction across the state throughout the holiday weekend in order to help ease travel.
"Memorial Day Weekend is one of the busiest travel times of the year and we are taking every step we can to minimize delays and disruptions on New York's roadways," Governor Cuomo said.
There may be some road work that continues behind some of the concrete barriers.
Road and bridge construction will pick up on Tuesday at 6 a.m.
