A Ripley woman is dead after her vehicle was hit by a train in Chautauqua County.
New York State Police are investigating the fatal accident involving a CSX train on Goodrich Street, in the Town of Ripley.
Investigators say the vehicle, operated by 58-year-old Marilyn Triana, was traveling southbound when it traveled through the crossing and into the path of the train around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Triana was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
