The owner of Wayside Family Restaurant in South Buffalo, was held-up at gunpoint while he was making a night deposit for his business.

The robbery happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night at the First Niagara Bank on Abbott Road.

Lackawanna Police said two men took the money and stole the owner's SUV. They are now looking for a gray 2014 Jeep Wrangler plate GSW 8074 that has been reported stolen.

Charlie Wilson is the owner of Infinity Hookah right next door to the bank. He said the victim came into his business to call police.

"Two guys had pulled up behind him and robbed him at gun point. Took the money, and as they left, took his vehicle also," said Wilson.

Wilson said the victim told him that the hold-up men got away with thousands of dollars and is surprised this happened at this business plaza.

"It not like everyday where this happens. This is the first time that I even heard someone getting robbed at gunpoint out in this plaza," added Wilson.

Police are looking to see if there is any surveillance cameras in that plaza recorded any of this incident. They also believe there is DNA from the suspects on the stolen SUV.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. If you have any information, call 716-867-6161.
