A 'boil water notice' has been issued for a neighborhood in Niagara Falls due to a water main break.
According to the Niagara Falls Water Board, the notice applies to residents in the area between Main Street and Pine Avenue to 10th Street and Pine Avenue, including the Niagara Towers and Spallino Towers.
The NFWB reports that a section of the water system will be temporarily shut down and without pressure due to the break. Once repairs are completed, the water main will be flushed and samples will be taken to confirm satisfactory water quality.
Residents are advised to boil water for at least the next 48 hours, beginning Wednesday.
