The FDA is investigating a multi-state outbreak of Listeria that's been linked to soft raw milk cheese made by a New York company.

Vulto Creamery has recalled a number of its soft wash-rind raw milk cheese.  The recall comes after two people were reported dead and six others were hospitalized since September 1st.  The incidents took place in Connecticut, Florida, New York and Vermont.

The company announced Tuesday that it was recalling its Ouleout, Miranda, Heinennellie and Willowemoc soft wash-rind raw milk cheeses. The cheeses had been distributed nationwide.  Most sold in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states.  Consumers are being warned not to eat the cheese, and restaurants have been warned against selling it.
