A rally in support of Western New York's Muslim community drew a large crowd to Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo.

Close to 150 people from 50 organizations and multiple faiths came together to denounce recent political rhetoric that is encouraging the public to look at all Muslims, especially refugee Muslims, with suspicion.

The rally was also a chance for local Muslims to speak out against terrorism and terrorist groups like ISIS.

"This is part of the reason that we are here is to make sure people realize that the attitude of ISIS has to be defeated at every level," said Dr. Khalid Qazi, president for the Muslim Public Affairs Council.
