As the race for Erie County District Attorney comes to an end, Republican candidate Joe Treanor and Democratic candidate John Flynn made their way to the polls on Election Day, each hoping for a victory.
It's a race some people are calling unconventional, with acting DA Michael Flaherty, a Democrat, endorsing Republican nominee, Joe Treanor after being ousted by fellow Democrat Flynn.
Before casting their respective votes, both candidates expressed confidence in their campaigns and in the messages they shared with the public about their plans moving forward.
Polls close tonight at 9p.m.
