NEW YORK (WKBW) — The New York State Department of Labor is warning about an email, text, and social media fraud alert, where scammers pose as the DOL attempting to get information.

If you've received an email that appears to be from the Department of Labor, tweet at the Department of Labor to confirm that it is a scam.

If it is a scam, make sure that you block and report the fraudsters.

Below are examples of fraudulent emails posing as the Department of Labor

Text messages from the Department of Labor will only come from DocuSign, 468-311, or 22751.

Department of Labor representatives will never reach out directly via a text message.

If you receive a message from someone appearing to be the Department of Labor, block and report the number.

The Department of Labor is warning you to not give out your Social Security Number over social media and only discuss matters with verified DOL social media accounts.
