LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. (WKBW) — If you live in Cattaraugus County, you're going to want to be aware of a new phone scam.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office says a person is asking for the last four digits of your Social Security Number, and for you to send money, in order to pay for an alleged arrest warrant.
Authorities say this scammer is giving detailed information including the following:
- Badge Number
- Case Number
- Arrest Warrant issued in the State of Texas
If you get one of these calls do not give out any personal information, and contact your local police agency immediately.
