Prostitution operation leads to five arrests

Erie County Sheriff's Office arrested five people Wednesday night in Grand Island in connection to prostitution.

According to officials, Barbara Shreiner, 25, was arrested and charged after she agreed to have sex for money with a Deputy who was wearing plain clothes. Shawn Pryor, 24, and Nichelle Robinson, 18, were also arrested.

All three were held and an investigation found the vehicle they were using was reported stolen by someone in Cheektowaga, according to officials.

The Sheriff's Office says Shreiner was charged with prostitution and felony criminal possession of a stolen property.

Deputies say Pryor was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, felony criminal possession of stolen property and promoting prostitution.

Robinson was charged with one count of felony criminal possession of stolen property, according to officials..

Deputies say another operation resulted in the arrest of Malissa Colins, 34, and Amy Lindgren, 36, for prostitution.

All five are being held at the Erie County Holding Center until their arraignment on September 8.
