More than 50 Western New York teens with cancer and survivors enjoyed prom tonight in Downtown Buffalo.
It' was the Fifth Annual Teen Prom hosted by the Courage of Carly Fund, a social support program for kids and young adults at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Area makeup artists and hairstylists volunteered their time and skills to help get the young men and young ladies ready for their big night. The theme of prom was "A Night in Paris."
After getting dressed on the campus of Roswell Park, limo buses whisked them to Hotel at the Lafayette for their French twist prom.
Several of the teens told 7 Eyewitness News this is something they look forward to each year. It makes them feel like normal teenagers. They had an opportunity to hang a 'love lock' on the Pont des Arts bridge. They wrote messages on the loves like "hope" and "I just want to be accepted."
