Not many people get a chance to meet the President of the United States. And if you do, it may be considered disrespectful to the highest office in the land to sleep through it.

But when you're an adorable six week-old baby, you get a free pass.

Harper Miller, the daughter of Major Patrick Miller and his wife Ashley, was deep in dream land when her parents caught up with President Obama recently while he was visiting Hawaii.

Major Miller, the Allegany native who saved the lives of other soldiers in 2014 after being shot at Fort Hood in Texas, is now stationed in the Aloha state..

Miller says when he and his wife heard the President was visiting Hawaii, they asked if he wanted to meet their newborn.

The White House took control from there, inviting the Millers onto the tarmac at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Honolulu on September 2nd, right before Air Force One took off for China.

Miller, who served two tours of duty in Iraq, is the recipient of the Soldier's Medal, which is the Army's highest noncombat honor for valor.
