The West Seneca School Board voted Wednesday night to shut down one of the district's elementary schools.

Potters Road Elementary School will be converted into administrative offices for the school district.

"We'll have community education programs there, perhaps some adult ed, and also we'll have the opportunity perhaps to rent some space in that building as well," said West Seneca Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Crawford.

Students at the school will go to Winchester or Allendale Elementary School, depending on what side of Cazenovia Creek they live on.

The plan to convert the building came at the suggestion of the 21st Century Commission, which was comprised of community volunteers.
