Don’t forget to check your mailbox on Sundays – at least through the month of December.
With the holiday season here, the U.S. Postal Service says it will be delivering packages seven days a week in larger cities and towns, including Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Jamestown.
Officials say this will go through Christmas Day because of the double digit package volume growth the postal service has seen. From Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day, some 8 million packages will be delivered in Western New York.
If you’d like to make sure your package arrives by Christmas, use these shipping deadlines:
- Dec. 8 – Priority Mail Express International
- Dec. 15 – Standard Post
- Dec. 19 – First-Class Mail and Global Express Guaranteed
- Dec. 21 – Priority Mail
- Dec. 23 – Priority Mail Express
