Foodies will need to find a new restaurant in Western New York to get their Spanish cuisine.
The acclaimed Aro Bar de Tapas on Sheridan Drive announced that it has shut down, citing "a combination of serious medical issues and other factors." Owners made the announcement on Facebook.
"Over the past 2 years, both of our owners developed separate but life-threatening heart conditions, and despite our best efforts, cannot persist in operating the restaurant," the Facebook post said.
Aro Bar de Tapas gained success among local restaurant-goers, earning awards from Buffalo Spree and OpenTable.
