BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Erie County Executive and incumbent Mark Poloncarz (D) has declared victory over his opponent Lynne Dixon (I).
This is Poloncarz's third term as Erie County Executive.
Poloncarz, a Lackawanna native, was first elected Erie County Executive in 2011 after beating now disgraced former county executive and Congressman Chris Collins. Republican challenger Ray Walter ran against Poloncarz in 2015 and lost.
