Police are issuing a warning about another tax scam, ahead of the April deadline to file your taxes.
This latest warning comes from Albion.
Police say victims, especially elderly people are getting phone calls from someone posing as an IRS agent.
Scammers, according to police, say you owe thousands of dollars in back taxes and you can settle by paying with iTunes gift cards.
Here's what you need to know. The IRS does not make phone calls about issues with your taxes. Instead, police say the government agency will use the United States Postal Service to get in touch with you.
If you get a phone call like this, hang up or call police.
