Police executing a search warrant arrested an Amherst man for drug possession after they say they found drugs and more than $50,000 cash in two cars.  An anonymous tip led the Erie County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit to two cars, one on Millersport Highway and another on Sheridan Drive.  Inside the cars police say they found the cash, a handgun and cocaine.

After the search of the cars, police searched a home on Skinnersville Road in Amherst.  That's where police arrested 37-year-old Adriane Harris.  Deputies say they found more cocaine and another gun when they searched his car.

Harris is charged with felony criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of drug paraphernalia among other things.  He was arraigned and taken to the Erie County Holding Center without bail.  In the past police say he served 30 months on federal drug charges.  He also served time for felony gun possession.
