A 73-year-old man was killed in a jet ski accident at Hamburg Town Park on Tuesday evening.
According to the Town of Hamburg Police, Frank Woods and his friend were attempting to load jet skis from one trailer to another when he was struck by the vehicle. Woods lost control of one of the trailers while attempting to hook it to a 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
Police say the trailer it rolled down the launch to the water and Woods called to his friend, who was operating the Trailblazer, for help. At that point, officials say the vehicle rolled over Woods, who was still behind it.
Police admistered first aid to Woods at the scene, then he was transported to a Mercy Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officials say the accident is still being investigated by Hamburg Police and no charges have been filed.
