We are learning more information about what lef up to the moments when a Buffalo Police SUV hit a knife-wielding suspect.
7 Eyewitness News has obtained a copy of the police report through a Freedom of Information Request. No where in the police report does it mention officers used a police SUV to hit the suspect.

We're not reporting the suspect's name due to his history of mental illness, but the police report states that not only the suspect claimed to have a knife, but also a gun.
Police say the gun was never recovered and the suspect refused to drop the knife each time he was asked.
Police say the suspect did start coming toward officers aggressively.
