Police have recovered the bodies of two western New York men who presumably drowned after their snowmobile broke through the ice on one of the Finger Lakes.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office says Jason Fluet's body was found a few hours after search efforts resumed Wednesday morning on Conesus (kun-EE'-shuhs) Lake, 20 miles south of Rochester.

The body of Christopher Copeland, of Livonia, was found several hours later. The search was suspended last week because of worsening ice conditions.

Authorities say Copeland and Fluet, of Rochester, both 40, went out on a single snowmobile early on the morning of Feb. 11 and never returned. Authorities say they went through thin ice on the northern end of the lake, the westernmost of the Finger Lakes.
