A Tonawanda man is facing serious charges after police say he stole a purse from a woman who was dropping her child off at day care. City of Tonawanda Police say 28-year-old Timothy Vincent took the purse out of an unlocked car while a woman was dropping her child off at St. Francis Day Care on Adam Street just before 8:00 Monday morning.
Officers found the empty purse in a garbage a few blocks away, and later stopped a Vincent because they say he matched the description of the thief. Police say Vincent then turned over 11 credit and debit cards, a drivers license, and a Social Security card that all belonged to the victim. He's charged with Grand Larceny of credit cards, which is a felony charge, as well as Petit Larceny. He will be back in City of Tonawanda Court Friday.
