Albion Police say a 34-year-old man was stabbed Sunday during an adult birthday party.
Officers were called out to 221 Hamilton Street in the Village of Albion around 3:15 a.m. for a fight involving several people.
Investigators say a man was found in the area suffering from a head injury and multiple stab wounds to his neck and chest. The man was taken to a local hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
According to police, 50 to 75 people were in the area. Officials say a dispute developed between the victim and others at the party that led up to the assault.
Detectives say the investigation is hampered by witnesses not willing to give information or accounts of the assault.
