A Tonawanda man who police say chased a 16-year-old with a knife at Gateway Park is facing a number of charges.
Police say the teenager was fishing at the canal, when 38-year-old Alberto Roman approached him, pulled a knife, and chased him. The teenager ran to the harbormaster's office and called 911.
Officers later found Roman on Young Street, and say they found the knife he used in his pocked. He was arrested Monday night, charged with Menacing, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
