Police investigating Houghton Park shooting

Police are looking for leads in a shooting that happened on the 17,000 block of Clinton street, near Houghton Park. Around 7:30 p.m. Sunday night, one man was hit with bird shot and taken to Erie County Medical Center, according to detectives.

Two men were seen walking around Houghton Park, waiting for the children to leave the area, before telling other people who were hanging around to leave, witnesses said. That's when the men confronted the victim and shot him.

The victim is currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries, officials say.
