UPDATE: According to Battalion Chief Lou Angrisano, the home was recently purchased and the new owner found the rusted grenade on a shelf in the garage.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad have removed the grenade.
Officials are unsure if the bomb was still live.
Original:The Buffalo Police Department reported a grenade was found on Baynes Street in Buffalo's West Side.
We have been able to confirm that the grenade has been removed and scene cleared by BPD and the Erie County Sheriff's Bomb Squad.
