Jamestown police positively identify body pulled from river

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) - Police in Jamestown have now identified the body of a man pulled from the Chadakoin River Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators have now positively identified the person as Sean Carpenter.

35-year-old Carpenter disappeared under suspicious circumstances in April.  He was last seen walking down East Pine Street towards 1st street at 1:45 a.m. on April 11.

Officers found the body around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday off Harrison Street.

An official cause of death has not been determined.
