Amherst Police were involved in a car chase Sunday afternoon with a stolen SUV.
Police say the pursuit began around 3:30 p.m. in the Main Street/Bailey Avenue area and continued onto Fillmore Avenue, ending at the intersection of Gesl and Fillmore.
The 25-year-old man driving the stolen SUV was taken into custody, according to officers.
Police say the the man crashed into a University at Buffalo patrol car and also hit two other cars during the chase.
According to officers, no injuries were reported.
Officials say the suspect was taken to Erie County Medical Center for evaluation.
Police say the SUV had been reported stolen in Buffalo around 4:15 a.m. that day.
