A woman is facing charges after allegedly leaving her dog inside her car for 45 minutes on Monday.
Police say Lisa Muratore, 32, of Rochester left her dog in her car while she went inside Batavia Downs Gaming on Park Road in Batavia. Police say the dog was left inside the car for 45 minutes while the temperature outside the car reached 79 degrees.
According to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation, after 45 minutes, the air temperature in the car would have been between 118-121 degrees.
Muratore is charged with confinement of a companion animal in a vehicle.
