A woman on the Southern Tier is accused of stalking a person, causing them to lose sleep.

Ellen Pierce was arrested last week and charged with fourth degree stalking. Police say they had warned her several times to not contact the victim, but the 44-year-old Brocton woman continued.

Police say the victim was unable to live in peace due to increased stress and loss of sleep.

Pierce is due back in court in January.
