Two people face multiple charges after leading state troopers on brief persuit

Two people are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon after they led state troopers on brief pursuit in Niagara Falls earlier this week. 

Police say 22-year-old Shaquan Shingledecker of Niagara Falls and 23-year-old Yariliss Flecha of Rochester failed to stop the vehicle on Niagara Falls Blvd. According to police, Shingledecker lost control of the vehicle and struck a house and fence on 75th street. 

A loaded 9mm handgun and packages of heroin were found inside the vehicle.  

Both Shingledecker and Flecha were taken to ECMC for non-life threatening injuries. and transfered back to State Police.
