Deputies in Niagara County are investigating two separate incidents where two vehicles were hit by buck shot from a shotgun.
Both incidents happened this past Sunday between 7-10p.m. in the area of Lake and Quaker roads in the Town of Somerset and the area of Transit Road south of Lake Road in the Town of Newfane.
Both vehicles that were damaged were parked near the roadway at the time and witnesses say they saw a dark-colored car with wide taillights and a loud exhaust leaving the area after the shootings.
Authorities believe this is a drive-by type situation where the vehicles were shot by someone inside the moving vehicle.
