Two Buffalo men are accused of breaking into vehicles in West Seneca.

Police were called to the Winchester neighborhood on April 6 after a neighbor spotted two men going into unlocked vehicles. Officers arrived and caught 20-year-old Joseph Hooper and 22-year-old Kyle Crawford after a brief foot chase.

Both allegedly had several stolen items on them, including loose change and prescription pills. Officers say they targeted at least eight vehicles in the neighborhoods.

Hooper and Crawford are charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of burglars tools and resisting arrest.

Police remind residents to always lock their vehicles.
