A Buffalo man pleaded guilty to a series of bank robberies that took place in last year.
Police arrested 50-year-old Kenneth Dykes on January 20, 2015 after he tried to rob the M&T Bank branch in the Boulevard Mall.
At the time of his arrest, Dykes was also wanted for robbing other branches of the bank in Buffalo and Blasdell. Police say he robbed the M&T Bank at Seneca and Casenovia Streets in South Buffalo around noon on January 14 and the M&T Bank on Lake Avenue in Blasdell just before noon the following day.
During each robbery, Dykes verbally demanded money from a teller. On two occasions, the defendant led the teller to believe he had a firearm.
Dykes faces up to 20 years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced in April.
