A teacher at Notre Dame Academy in Buffalo has been indicted on four counts of third degree criminal sexual act involving a former student.

Mary Rose Brady is currently on administrative leave while the investigation and prosecution move forward.

According to the indictment, the incidents took place between September 2009 and December 2009 with a student who was 16-years-old at the time and involved oral sexual conduct.

School officials say the alleged incidents did not take place while the student was at Notre Dame Academy.

A letter was sent home to parents after school officials learned of Brady’s indictment late Monday afternoon, which is the first time school officials say they learned of the accusations against her.

School officials say they will be cooperating with the investigation and ask anyone with information that affect children of the Diocese to call 716-895-3010.
