Police say a traffic stop turned into a foot chase after one of the individuals in the vehicle, who had a warrant took off.
According to police, 23 year-old Myquan Pringle took off on foot and entered the rear of a building located on Lockport Street.
Both New York State Police and Niagara County Sheriff's Office responded for assistance.
Police say the suspect was considered to be armed and dangerous. According to authorities, he was found on the second floor of an apartment building, armed with a hatchet.
Pringle was wanted by Niagara Falls Police for 2nd degree robbery, according to police.
Pringle was taken into custody. Police are still investigating the incident.
