A Rural/Metro ambulance crew had to be taken to the hospital early Wednesday morning.

The ambulance they were working in crashed and landed on its side. It happened about 1 a.m. Wednesday, right at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and North Street in Buffalo.

A black Jeep was also involved in the crash. The front end of the SUV was badly damaged.

The driver of that SUV was questioned by police, but was allowed to leave the scene.

Right now, there's no word on what caused the crash.

7 Eyewitness News has reached out to both Rural/Metro and Buffalo police for more information. They have not yet answered our requests.
