A 31-year-old western New York man is heading to prison for tweeting threats against President Barack Obama and Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Brandon Correa was sentenced to more than a year in prison on Monday. The Rochester man pleaded guilty on Oct. 27 to making a threat against the president of the United States.

Prosecutors say Correa posted a Twitter message in June 2014 telling the president that he's "coming to watch you die." He was interviewed shortly after posting the threats and told a Secret Service agent the president was "evil" and had to die.

He was released following the threat. But prosecutors say he posted another message on Twitter and Facebook in August 2014 telling the president to "get ready to die."
