A woman was arrested with a BAC more than four times over the legal limit while on her way to pick up her kids from school.

Around 2:30pm on Tuesday, Kenmore Police were called to Delaware Avenue near Kenmore Avenue for a two-car accident.

One of the drivers, 38-year-old Cara Toadvine of Tonawanda, appeared intoxicated, officers say. She told police she was on her way to pick up her kids from school.

Officers say she failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of .37 percent – more than four times over the legal limit.

She was taken to ECMC due to her extremely high blood alcohol content and was issued four traffic tickets.

Toadvine is due back in court on May 10.
