Town of Tonawanda Police needed to use a TASER early Sunday morning to subdue a suspect they say was trying to break into a home on Coventry Road.
Police say they responded to a burglary-in-progress call around 5:30 a.m., and heard the sound of glass breaking as they arrived on the scene.
Officers reported finding 56-year-old Michael Jorden of Tonawanda standing next to a broken window holding a crow bar. Police say Jorden resisted arrest so officers had to use the TASER.
Jordan was arraigned on 5 criminal charges including: Attempted Burglary, Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest.
He is currently being held without bail at the Erie County Holding Center.
