A man working at a flooring company is accused of stealing $18,000 from his employer by pocketing customers’ deposits and giving special discounts that padded his wallet.
Bradley Pilarski, 37, of Depew worked at The Flooring Fanatic on Harlem Road in Cheektowaga for the last eight months. According to authorities, the owner found Pilarski was taking customers’ deposits and other payments and then deleting their involves from the system, so there was no trace of the transaction.
The owner also alleges Pilarski was offering special discounts that were not authorized and would keep the money for himself.
Pilarski was arrested and charged with third degree grand larceny.
