An intoxicated man drove to a truck stop and became irate, throwing food and a lit cigarette at employees, State Police say.

Around 11pm Thursday, troopers were called to the 490 Truck Stop in LeRoy on reports a man was threatening two employees and throwing food.

Troopers say Brett Hersperger of Erie, Pennsylvania threw cookies, candy bars and a lit cigarette at two employees while threatening them. What’s more, troopers say the 45-year-old had driven to the truck stop while drunk.

Hersperger reportedly had a BAC of .09 percent. He was charged with DWI, third degree menacing and fourth degree criminal mischief. Troopers say they also found an illegal billy club in his vehicle and additionally charged him with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Hersperger was taken to the Genesee County Jail on $25,000 bail.
