Four teenagers are in custody in connection with an assault Tuesday morning outside the Buffalo and Erie County Central Library.
Police responded to the intersection of Broadway and Ellicott Street at 5:40 a.m. and found the victim.
Detectives say a 64-year old man was assaulted.
The victim was transported by ambulance to ECMC where he's listed in critical condition.
Shortly after 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening, police announced the arrest of the four teenage boys, citing video from city surveillance cameras and other cameras in the area.
Police say the four are charged with assault in the 1st degree and gang assault.
