These crafty thieves thought they couldn’t be seen on camera, but they were wrong.
Investigators were looking to identify this man and woman, who on Sunday, January 24, made off with $1,400 worth of merchandise from the Home Depot on Transit Road in Clarence.
Deputies say the pair tried to hide in an area of the store they thought didn’t have cameras, unpackaged all of the merchandise they stole and hid it in the woman’s over-sized handbag.
Four hours after we shared this video on social media, deputies say they have identified the suspects.
Detectives hope to soon make an arrest.
