Sometime over the weekend, someone stole nine parking meters in Fredonia and lit a playground on fire.
Police say between June 3-6, someone stole the meters – post and all – from Church Street and Center Street.
Then around 10pm on June 6, someone lit playground equipment on fire in Lower Russell Joy Park on Howard Street. The equipment, valued at $36,000, is a total loss.
Fredonia Police are asking for the public’s help bringing the culprit or culprits for the crimes to justice.
